The Fountain-Talladega Racing Team is
OUTSIDE THE BOX
There is nothing ordinary about the Fountain-Talladega racing team. Their independent approach and full throttle attitude is fully evidenced by their Talladega Nights and “Shake n’ Bake” racing theme which is always prevalent when they participate in SBI off shore events.
Driver/Owner Don Urfer and Throttleman Chris Gatturna, fill the # 62 “ME” boat cockpit with championship titles and years of experience. They are true racing pros! And that fact is readily expressed by their racing credentials and in their super competitiveness.
It is easy to recognize Don and Chris’ competitive spirit because that spirit is boldly displayed in the team’s rock n’ roll reverence to Ricky Bobby the famous feature character from the movie, Talladega Nights. In fact, if you visit the pits, you’ll find that the team’s travel trailer has a promotional room exclusively dedicated to Ricky Bobby himself and you will certainly hear the salutation, “Shake n’ Bake!” as it is repeatedly offered up with a fist bump when the team is hunkered down in race preparation.
Yet, spirit and competitiveness are only parts of the superior racing equation that makes up Fountain-Talladega. Driven professionalism and the team’s no holds barred attitude are joined with intense race preparation and their thundering water performances.
The Fountain-Talladega championship boat and its excellent power plant are fully supported by top-notch equipment that clearly complements the work of the incredible pit crew. The “ME” team takes pride in every detail of their efforts and they are totally motivated to ensure every run is set for a winning performance.
Whether it is the roar of the Sportchassis Super Trucks pulling the team to the SBI event, or the rumble of the ME Boat thundering Don and Chris through race waters, the #62 ME Machine is a thrill to behold.
